Teeth will always have a tendency to move, even after your orthodontic treatment has been completed.
As orthodontic treatment requires you to wear various appliances on your teeth, there are certain responsibilities that you must undertake to ensure that your mouth is kept in excellent health and your appliances are not damaged.
At the end of your orthodontic treatment, you will be given retainers to wear. These retainers will hold the teeth in position. You may be fitted with a removable and/or fixed retainer, depending on your needs. The next few years after your braces have been removed, you will continue to have appointments with your orthodontist, so we can continue to monitor your teeth.
